BRAND STORY
In 2018, entrepreneur Takeshi and jewelry designer Kimio met at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Recognizing Kimio's passion and talent for craftsmanship, Takeshi proposed that they start a jewelry brand together. In 2020, the two founded a fine jewelry brand in Japan and opened their flagship store in Omotesando, Tokyo, the trend and luxury epicenter, and quickly became popular among celebrities.
However, in 2022, Kimio became the target of online harassment by a YouTuber, which took away the jewelry design business he had dedicated his life to and pushed him to the brink of a mental breakdown. With Takeshi's emotional support and help, they successfully fought back against the cyberbullying and their efforts led to the arrest and conviction of the YouTuber. The case gained worldwide attention, with outlets like the BBC covering the story.
Through this incident, the bond between Kimio and Takeshi deepened, reminding them that no one can live alone. From this realization, they launched a new fine jewelry brand, "KIMITAKE," in Japan and the U.S. in November 2023. The brand symbolizes "human connection" and beautifully merges their identities with Japanese tradition and culture.

KIMITAKE Jewelry Designer Kimio Fukutani
Kimio Fukutani began designing jewelry while working for a London jewelry brand THE GREAT FROG.
His work has garnered accolades at the A’ Design Award & Competition,
one of the world’s top design competitions held in Italy each year.
In the 2022 competition, Fukutani was the only person in the world and the first Japanese to win the Platinum award in the Jewelry,
Eyewear and Watch Design Category.
